ABOUT THE NYSC
The NYSC MIssion: The New
York Script Club is a free support group for those interested
in the art of screenwriting, in all its various forms. Open to
writers of every background and ability level, our purpose is
to provide members with the tools they need to achieve success
in their career; whether it be a basic understanding of screenplay
structure, mentoring group to encourage members to set individual
goals, professional guest speakers, motivation throughout the
writing process or networking so members have every professional
opportunity to sell their finished script. The New York Script
Club believes the success of ONE is an achievement for ALL.
The toughest thing about writing a screenplay is actually sitting
down and writing it. Through our Club, you get two things. First,
all the resources you need to get your idea outlined and ready
to write and, second, a support group to keep you motivated and
to push you along. We want the New York Script Club to gain a
reputation as the place for screenwriters to come when they need
inspiration and a person to lean on.
